Description

A probabilistic category learning task based on Knowlton et al. (1994). Participants see 1-3 cards with different symbols, each probabilistically predicting sun or rain. Through trial-and-error with feedback, participants learn which cards predict which weather outcome. Tests implicit learning and habit formation.

Data Output

Creates one data file: wpt-<subnum>.csv with trial-level data including subnum, trial number, configuration (pattern A-N), presence of each card (c1-c4), sample probability, rain probability, alternative probability calculation, presentation time, reaction time, response (rain/sun prediction), actual outcome, correctness. Running point total displayed throughout task.
